Vype ePen 3 Review

The new Vype ePen 3 is Vype’s main single use pod vaporizer; Vype claims the ePen 3 offers simplicity, superior build quality and flavours when compared to its competition but how does it actually perform?

Vype ePen 3 – What is the vPro?

The Vype ePen 3 offers a vPro variant which refers to the vPro refill pods containing nicotine salts rather than Vype standard e liquid. Nic salts are said to boast better flavour and an overall more satisfying experience. Both ePen variants cost the same. With the vPro you receive the vPro nic salt pod refills whereas the standard ePen uses Vype standard e liquid.

The ePen is a closed pod system which means you can not refill the tank with your own e liquid. It is not competing with similar devices such as V2 Cigs vape pens which are “open” systems. Beyond this closed system it has a few other differences which might cater for your vaping experience. On the other hand might detract from it.

Slightly larger than most pods but the ePen is well designed

ePen aesthetics and ergonomics

The Vype ePen 3 is slightly bigger than other vape devices and pod devices on the market which could be related to its larger battery, I will cover that later in the review. This could make it feel uncomfortable if you have small hands or prefer the feel of a vape pen that is cigarette like. For context it feels almost like an apple TV remote in the hand, and has a similar curve to the apple remote. However, the Vype ePod which uses Vype ePod cartridge refills is a somewhat smaller device.

The build quality of this product feels slightly cheaper than a lot of vaporizers as it is constructed from plastic. However, where you do get higher quality than you might expect at this price, is with the mouth piece which is constructed from a Delrin material and offers a premium feel. This also keeps the high temperatures in the device away from your lips. The mouth-piece is slightly wider than many vape pens. This could feel strange at first but after a while it should feel more natural.

ePen battery and ease of use

The Vype ePen 3 offers a battery that is over triple the power of the Juul, at an impressive 650 mAh. For a device at a cheap price point (£17.99) this is impressive and is one of the key features and reasons you should consider the Vype ePen. However, the more powerful (1100 mAh) and versatile iQ One will take some beating. It is notable however that the ePen isn’t as small as many of its competitors due to this larger battery, but if you are happy to make this trade off, the extra battery goes a long way.

The ePen has a very simple set up system and is very much plug and play. It has a single button on it, which you click quickly three times to turn it on and off. The LED power indicator will ensure you can keep track of the vaporizers status. The ePen 3 requires you to hold down the firing button while inhaling which feels a little bit reluctant for a pod based vape. Many devices have an auto-draw system built in such as the Vaptio Solo Flat Mini (under £15!!), but this doesn’t put you off the overall vaping experience which is simple and easy.

ePen 3 performance

The performance of a vaporizer should be the most important part of the product. With so many other pod based vape devices on the market and so much choice, why should you buy this one? Well, the Vype does have a larger battery than most pod devices so will last longer between charging. Vype also offers 7 different vPro flavours and 20 standard flavours which you may enjoy. The flavour production feels about the same as the considerably less able Juul. If you get the ePen 3 you need to get the vPro variant for maximum benefit.

ePen 3 vPro cartridges

One of the key features of the ePen 3 is its compatibility with vPro cartridges, these are pod cartridges that contain nicotine salts, and these salts are made in the UK from premium ingredients, Vype claim they offer a faster absorption of nicotine than your every day e liquid. Nicotine salts offer more of a punch than regular e-liquids, and this can often satisfy cravings a bit sooner after taking your fist draw. Nicotine absorption is faster from nic salts than e liquid but once you start vaping and you have started the absorption process there really is no discernible difference. Nicotine salts also provide a less harsh, smoother draw as conventional e-liquids contain more of the liquid form of nicotine and when this is vaporised it is a little harsher. Many of those who have tried both suggest that e liquid is more like smoking because it has more of a “hit” when inhaled while nicotine salts are too “smooth”. However, I do know that some prefer the smooth feel of nic salts. It will come down to your personal preference so you need to try both.

With the vPro cartridges and nicotine salts you have next to no negative influence on flavour, your favourite flavours should feel more pure, more flavourful and more enjoyable. The vPro cartridges are ideal for someone who vapes with the goal of quitting smoking cigarettes, but if you have been vaping for a while and crave more of a punchy nicotine experience the ePen 3 may just feel too weak.

How long will the ePen 3 cartridge last?

The pod cartridge holds 2 ml of liquid which will last the average smoker (20 a day smoker) nearly a day, a better estimate would be 3 cartridge pods should last 2 days. Vype quote “… over 200 puffs in laboratory testing. But the number of puffs depends upon your vaping behaviour“. It may seem low but a cigarette is less than 10 puffs so that would indicate the refill should last all day but in practice it simply does not.

If you are an average to heavier smoker or are used to a stronger cigarette brand, the Vype pod refill cartridge will last you even less time. You will struggle to get the nicotine hit you need from these as the maximum nicotine content is 18 mg and you will over-draw in an attempt to get the hit needed to satisfy. If you have ever tried a Silk Cut Ultra you will know what I mean, puff away trying to get something out of it. “Over vaping” will cause greater use of e liquid so it will not last as long.

Ideally you would need a device that allows 20 mg or has sub ohm functionality

Similarly I found that the battery would require charging 3 times over a two day period, one charge did not last me a day. This is a little awkward if you are using the Vype as a cigarette substitute. You really need 2 ePen devices or the iQ One!

Portability of the ePen

The ePen 3 is quite a lot larger than much of its competition (123 mm x 18 mm x 27 mm), but as previously mentioned it makes up for this with its 650 mAh battery life. By comparison the iQ Air vape pod is considerably smaller. However, the ePen is still portable and can fit in your pocket or bag. But keep in mind that you may also have to carry replacement pods with you.

The ePen 3 is quite a bit bigger than say the iQ Air

ePen 3 accessories

This product is only £17.99 and I wouldn’t expect much in the way of accessories; you will receive exactly what you might expect; one Vype ePen 3, one micro USB charging cable and a user guide. The ePen vPro kit also contains two cartridges, the Master Blend (tobacco flavoured) and the Crushed Mint flavour. These pods are 2 ml, note they are not refillable so you won’t be able to use your own e-liquid.

Conclusion

Overall the ePen 3 is a good choice for someone quitting smoking if you can look past a few of its shortcomings. It is a good entry level product due to its low price and range of flavours. The ePen also offers you a large battery, nicotine salt cartridges and an easy set up. They are convenient as many larger supermarkets carry some stock. For me its lack of an auto draw system and plastic build are what lets it down. However, I would totally recommend this as someone’s first vaporiser as it will help to quit smoking.

If you are still not convinced, I would buy the V2 EX series starter kit if you like a smaller cigarette shape or the iQ One for a slightly larger premium device. At slightly higher price points both vape pens have fewer shortcomings. Both also offer the choice between manual button and an auto-draw system and/or refilling with your preferred e liquid.

iQ One Review

Introducing the iQ One from Hangsen

The iQ One is the hybrid pod system vaporizer released by the popular e-liquid manufacturer Hangsen under their iQ brand and the device ranks in our three best e cig vape devices. Hangsen have also brought out the successful ultra-thin vape pod, the iQ Air. Hangsen have been operating in the e-liquid industry since 2009 and are very well known so I was interested to see how their attempt at a crossover into hardware would turn out. Hangsen produce e-liquid for many companies who then re-brand it with their own label.

iQ One pod and coil features

This vape pen or vaporizer is referred to as a hybrid pod system because it can be used for vaping a variety of e liquids, both traditional e-liquid, nicotine salts and CBD vape oil. You simply select the appropriate coil. The tank or pod is magnetically connected to the iQ One so there is no fiddling around with screw threads which also helps to ensure leaking is minimised.

The iQ also has comes with two coil types which screw into the bottom of the pod and can be replaced. The refill port in the pod is large enough to be filled with ease and while refilling slowly you should encounter no issues, however if you fill it too quickly you might encounter an airlock problem. Once filled, the pod tank is sealed by a rubber plug, this is secured so don’t worry about it getting lost. Looking into the transparent pod allows you to easily see how much e-liquid you have. However once it is inserted into the iQ one body there is no viewing window so you need to be aware of how much e liquid you have, simply pop the tank out and look! When you start out you will need to make sure to check on the pod frequently, you soon get a feel for how long it takes to use up 2 ml of your favourite vape juice.

With this vaporizer you have two coil options, 0.6 and 0.8 ohms, which are both very similar looking but are marked accordingly to avoid confusion. They both have an integrated airflow control ring at their base which allows you to adjust the amount of airflow to your exact requirement. How much airflow you will like is a personal preference as it affects flavour and vapour thickness. The 0.6 ohm coil is ideal for your regular e liquids whilst the 0.8 ohm coil works extremely well with both CBD vape oil and nic salts.

iQ size and ergonomics

Like most hybrid pod systems this vaporizer is intended to be highly portable; it weighs around 112 grams and feels substantial in the hand but it is still comfortable in a pocket, and is not as chunky and as heavy as a vape mod or box mod si it wont be an annoyance to carry around. However you will know that you’ve got it on you due to its weight and size. Part of the weight of this vaporizer comes from its polished zinc alloy main chassis which gives it a solid body and premium feel. In combination with the various finishes (resin, leather, plastic, silver charcoal, gold charcoal) it makes for a visually pleasing vaporizer.

There is the main function button in the centre of the vaporizer which activates the product and the iQ logo is embedded into the body of the vaporizer, both these looked solid in my opinion and the placement of the button fits in the hand nicely. On the left of the vaporizer there is both a small LED and a micro USB port that is used for charging. The LED is used to display the battery life of the vaporizer, red is less than 30%, blue is 30% – 70%, and green is anything above 70%, this light is also used to show different error messages. Visually the whole product looks solid, slick and has a really good build quality to it, there are the usual safety signs and “Hybrid Vapor System” written in large letters which I do not particularly like but assume much of it has to be included so is something that you will get with any other vaporizer.

iQ One battery life

The IQ One vaporizer has a relatively solid 1100 mAh battery life which is very good for a portable vaporizer, however it is slightly heavier than some of the competition in the field of portable vaporizers. You cant have 1100 mAh of battery life and a feather-light vape. The weight adds to the presence of the device and if you don’t mind that extra weight this is an excellent choice, as the battery will last for a long time and the pods are a sufficient for extended use without refills. If you spend a lot of time on the go and, despite its large battery, still worry about the iQ One vaporizer running out of battery, you can always just carry the included micro USB charging cable which is really convenient as it can plug into laptops, computers, USB hubs, in fact virtually any device. The combination of having a large battery and a convenient charging solution ensures that wherever you go, you’ll never be without battery. Another good factor is that vaping while the device is charging is supported ie “pass-through”. To achieve a full charge, it takes around one and a half hours which is good if you are on the go and stopping off In a café or hotel room. However, most of the time people charge their vaporizers over night so this is not a major factor.

So to sum up, this device has an impressive battery life for a small portable vape and the pass through facilitates all day (and night) vaping and at £29.99 it is impressive.

The iQ One vape kit contents and accessories

Out of the box, the iQ One will include the iQ One itself, the charging cable I mentioned, the pod along with a pre-installed coil, the two coils and the micro USB to USB charging cable. There are no replacement mouth-tips which is disappointing, but they are not usually included in products under £50.

  • 1 x Hangsen iQ battery pod device
  • 1 X iQ pod refill tank
  • 1 x Mini USB charger
  • 1 x 0.6 ohm coil
  • 1 X 0.8 ohm coil
  • 1 x iQ One user manual
  • 1 X iQ One drip tip mouth piece

The iQ One performance

The most important part of the product is how it performs; the iQ pod device delivers an excellent flavour and with the sub ohm coils you get considerable vapour which really helps in nicotine absorption. Other pod devices simply will not compete, you would need a larger scale (read awkward) vape mod to get this level of vapour and flavour.

The custom air flow controls allows for a range of air flows so you can customise your experience to match your preferences, however if you are someone who enjoys a super tight MTL draw this might not be the product for you. Part of the performance is also the experience of the product; its excellent build quality and classy finishes allows for a premium look and comfortable user experience.

Things to bear in mind

The iQ One is not like your average pod. This device gives you freedom to choose your e liquid, nic salts or CBD brand and with its sub ohm functionality is more a kin to a new-gen small scale vape mod, a pod-mod perhaps – but with an all day battery!  Your standard pod device uses sealed non-refillable e liquid pods and will not give this level of vapour, typically requiring a recharge 2 -4 times a day – not the iQ One though. But before buying the iQ One be aware that you will have to buy additional packs of coils and you might have to buy a replacement e liquid pod if you lose or break your previous one. This will save you money compared to buying a pod device that is prefilled. The iQ accessories are reasonably priced (the coils are £3.99 for a pack of three and the pods are available at £4.99 and include a 0.8 ohm coil) the drip tip is not available to buy which is a shame as it could become damaged through extended use.

Hangsen iQ One maintenance

With anything that requires maintenance you need to think about the future and whether these pods and coils will be sold long term. Many companies bring out new vape devices all the time and you want to be sure you have the ability to continue using your device and replacing coils is part of that, Hangsen is an established vape company so there should not be any issues.

I would also point out here that some people have said they’ve struggled with slight condensation under the drip tip so to prevent this I would suggest that you clean everything with a paper towel before and after refilling the pod. Ensure the red rubber stopper is securely pressed into place.

The iQ One conclusion

The iQ One is a solid product, it has a premium look and feel, good battery life and a decent number of accessories. It is an excellent all-round vaporiser, there is always a slight trade of between battery life and weight and the iQ One balances that perfectly.

Is the iQ One worth buying?

It does no one thing spectacularly but performs extremely well overall. For its £29.99 price point it visually looks and feels like it’s worth a lot more. There is no device currently, apart from the iQ One, that has successfully bridged the gap between the cumbersome but effective sub ohm box mod or vape mod and a pod device and that is why you want to buy the iQ One. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn’t already have a vaporizer as it does everything you need well and is excellent value for money.

    Aspire Cleito Pro Review

The Aspire Cleito Pro Tank is a redesigned and upgraded version of the much-loved Aspire Cleito vape mod tank, so it comes with big shoes to fill. The original Aspire Cleito is easily recognised as one of the best vape mod tanks in the UK.

The new Cleito Pro is even more user-friendly and comes with some new and interesting unique features. The Pro is intended for advanced vapers, cloud-chasers and those who dream of intense flavour. It comes with the next-gen mesh coils and a full colour range: Silver-grey, black, rainbow and gold.

Is the Cleito Pro Still up there with the Best Vape Tanks?

The vast majority of tanks on the market are typically designed to fit a particular vape mod. For example, the Innokin Scion tank is made with the Innokin Proton in mind (the Proton is our favourite vape mod and you can see the full Innokin Proton review here). The SMOK Rigel comes with the SMOK TFV9 Tank. You can buy them separately for your compatible vape mod but they were originally manufactured by the brand to fit the vape mod in question.

    Cleito Pro Features

This is where the Aspire Pro tank differs. It is made by Aspire specifically as a tank separate to any vape mod. This makes it bespoke. The manufacturer’s full focus is dedicated to making a stand alone tank, a tank with brilliant features that works exceptionally well and will compliment any compatible mod.

Get The Aspire Cleito Pro Here with full Aspire warranty

For example, one of the practical features being highlighted on this mod tank is the top side-fill slot, which, with no need to unscrew, should make the device easier to fill. All you need to do is slide up the top ring and look for the filling slot marked with three dots. Then top up your favourite e-liquid. For maximum nicotine absorption you must try Vsavi’s best nicotine salts with the Cleito Pro in MTL mode! The Vsavi range of flavours are probably the best available.

Aspire Pro: intuitive e juice filling

    Inside the Cleito Pro Kit

    • 1 x Cleito Pro tank
    • 2 x Coil Heads (0.5 Ohm & 0.15 Ohm Mesh Coil)
    • 6 x O-rings
    • 1 x User manual
    • 1 x Warranty card
    Cleito Pro Mesh Colis

Cleito Pro Coil Replacement & Air Flow

Similarly, installing Aspire Cleito mesh coils is made easier by just removing the drip tip and top cap and inserting the new coil in from the top. The airflow is adjustable depending on your preference. All that you need to do is rotate the airflow control ring on the base of the tank to open or close the three inlet slots. These small design features demonstrate Aspire’s attention to detail. It is the detail that makes vaping a pleasure, vaping simplified. If it’s clouds you’re looking for, having the airflow slot fully open will work best for you, but if you’re an ex-smoker or someone who’s trying to quit, fully closing the airflow will give you more of a restrictive hit.

    Cleito Pro’s Unique Air-flow

    Cleito Pro; Pros

A huge benefit of the Aspire Cleito tank has to be the mesh coils. By spreading the heat more evenly. This allows you to get a lush flavour and huge vape clouds – which is exactly what you expect from the Cleito range. What’s more, you can use a number of coils in this tank, including the old Cleito coils. This interchangeable nature is a real benefit to find your ideal setting.

A gripe that many people found with the Cleito Exo Tank is that you couldn’t control the airflow. So if you’re craving a little variety, the Cleito Pro Tank will deliver that for you. The airflow is well-balanced and there’s no nasty heat that comes from the drip top, despite the device delivering a good amount of heat.

    Cleito Pro components

The price is definitely a plus with this tank. It’s much cheaper than similar models but delivers on quality. You’ll find it for around the £20 mark, but it wouldn’t be surprising if you’d be happy to pay a little more because of how good it is. The construction is solid and once you’ve mastered taking it apart and putting it back together, it’s incredibly easy to handle.

Get The Aspire Cleito Pro Here with full Aspire warranty

The coils seem to last for a decent amount of time – even after around seven days, the flavour only starts to lack when the liquid level gets low and the tank needs refilling. Once refilled, you’re met with a nice, fresh flavour. Of course, your own experience will depend on how you use it.

It doesn’t get too hot which is a nice addition and we’ve had no leakage whatsoever – always a plus.

    Cleito Pro: Cons

Glass tanks like the Pro are considered the cleanest and best vape tanks and some users of Mod tanks do suggest that the glass tanks can be fragile so you need to be careful. Non-TPD regions can buy a 3 ml or 4.2 ml glass cylinder. We found though, that if looked after properly, there shouldn’t be any issues. The Cleito Pro 2 ml tank complies with the UK’s TPD regulation so is considered safe.

The side fill will either be something you love or hate. We love it because it makes refuelling simple. If you’re clumsy or not good with your hands, you might not get along so well with it and you may even need to adjust the apparatus you use to refill your liquids. On Aspire’s website, they recommend keeping the three dots marking the location of the fill port as high as possible to avoid spillages and to make the whole process easier. Adding a top fill into this tank might’ve been a better for some users, but it’s not a game changer in this instance.

Cranked up to a higher wattage, you’ll find even more cloud, but it doesn’t handle extreme temperatures very well. Nor should it need to. The Pro is optimised to produce huge clouds and rich flavour. Too high a temperature and you are just burning through e juice for no reason. Low wattage work well for this tank and it’s ideal if you prefer smooth vaping.

Conclusion. Should I buy the Cleito Pro?

If you’re a fan of the original Cleito line, we doubt you’ll be disappointed with the Cleito Pro Tank. Although great on its own, there are several modifications that can be done to make it even more desirable. For seasoned vapers who love big clouds and even bigger flavour, it’s definitely one to get and it may just earn a place in your best all-day tank collection. There is no better vape mod tank.

    e-Liquid Reviews

We look at three of the most popular vape juice brands in the UK. KIK e liquid, V2 Platinum e liquid and Vsavi pure VG ECO-vape e juices.

Jump straight to our best 3 e liquids >>

Why are we reviewing UK e-liquids? Know what your inhaling!

I believe wholeheartedly that switching to Electric Cigarettes from tobacco cigs is a good thing but getting the right e liquid is a critical part of the process of trading your old habit in for vaping.

The World Health Organisation do not yet support vaping as a smoking cessation technique, although more recently the NHS has got fully behind vaping. But there are reservations and this is mainly down to the unknown health risks and the unknown chemicals in some E liquids.

Our article on e-liquid safety highlights the World Health Organisation concerns:

WHO. “Many studies found that the product labels did not show the ingredients (e.g. flavours, solvent, nicotine) or that the declaration did not correspond with the concentrations found (e.g. nicotine)“.

UPDATE: Eventually (PHE) Public Health England accept that e liquids are less harmful than tobacco and that they can be helpful for smokers who want to stop smoking

“…e-cigarettes are significantly less harmful to health than tobacco and have the potential to help smokers quit smoking.” – see the full report here at www.gov.uk

    E liquid origins

E Cigs and e liquids are notorious for being made in China and other unregulated regions. Users often have limited knowledge regarding the ingredients of the vape juice they use as regulation at this time is not stringent. While TPD calls for certain tests on e cigarette and vape devices, full disclosure of all ingredients is not a requirement.

If you are inhaling e liquid in vapour form you need to know what you are inhaling. Therefore you need to be able to TRUST your e juice brand.

    What is in your vapour?

Some e-liquids are far better than others though with some brand listing exactly what is in them. A few vape brands even conduct batch tests for each batch of E-liquids. Some e liquid however are prepared in warehouses no doubt and a some in proper laboratories.

Quality e-juice brands can be slightly more expensive but does that not make you think? Why do they cost a bit more? Vaping is a lot less expensive than smoking and has health benefits so paying a few pence more is worth the peace of mind gained by knowing exactly what the ingredients are.

It is a worrying factor and nobody wants a repeat of how tobacco cigarettes have affected our society. When cigarettes first became popular there was virtually no information on the impacts on health or what exactly was contained in the tobacco and cigarette – déjà vu?

It is a matter of TRUSTING your e liquid brand and this means transparency.

A review of the best three e juices

The E liquids we are going to review are:

    1. Platinum E Liquid manufactured by V2
    2. Vsavi e liquid by Vsavi – 100% VG e juices, organic too!
    3. Kik liquids manufactured by Supreme Imports

All brands are pretty big, they all ship to other countries too.

    Our e juice testing method:

    • We test all liquid under the same conditions:
    • Brand new standard cartomizer for each liquid
    • 1 full refill used at least with each liquid to ensure vape production lasts and get a real feel for the liquid.
    • A standard high quality vape battery at 4.2 V
    • For this instance we will use all basic tobacco flavours, to keep it as fair as possible.
All liquid is medium strength close to 18 mg as we can get.

    The best e-Liquid. Summary

    #1. Vapour2/V2 Platinum e Juice

For us the real runaway winner is V2 Platinum E-Liquids, with the highest quality e-liquid, batch testing and complete openness about the ingredients. Simply the cleanest and best e-juice out there. There is no chemical aftertaste like you have with many e liquids!

V2 are the largest on-line distributor of e-cigs in the USA, the quality of the components is second to none including their liquid ingredients. V2 offer the full range of vape juice ideal for beginners or advanced vaping including a sub ohm range. See our best Best UK Vape Pen Reviews here.

#2. Vsavi pure e Liquids – best VG e liquids

For a pure VG option, Vsavi offers the cleanest, purest range of great tasting VG e liquids. Ideal for those who want lots of vapour or those with a PG intolerance.

    Best Nicotine Salts

Vsavi also offer a full range of vape juice ideal for beginners or sub ohm vaping. Vsavi Nic Salts are without doubt the best nic salts available and their Smooth Tobacco offers the most authentic experience.

VSAVI are a brand recommended to me after trying my regular E-Liquid. They use proper laboratories, proper testing on all their e-liquid which incidentally is all UK & EU made. Vsavi have everything from CBD vape oils, short fill e liquids, shisha e liquids and are the UK e liquid specialists.

    #3. KiK e-Liquid

Kik e liquid are backed by Supreme Imports and have a range of e liquids including a “VG” range that is not really VG – it also contains PG e liquid? It is a high (80%) VG e liquid but not pure VG. Their prices start at £6.99 for 10 ml for their high VG range.

Kik are relatively new, they have just hit the scene and looks like they have a very expensive marketing budget and a premium (PR!) feel about their products. They use organic flavourings but say nothing about using medical grade ingredients in their product that I can find.

Like Vapour2 they also offer high PG and a 50/50 VG/PG option which are sold in 5 x 10 ml packs for £11.00. Their e liquids represent a reasonably good selection for both standard and sub ohm vaping.

    Full e-Liquid reviews

    #1. V2 e-Liquid

From V2 we received some “Platinum E liquid” of “Red” and “Congress”. These are 2 of the 3 tobacco e liquid flavours they offer – they also have the menthol bases covered – Mint Tea Menthol and Peppermint !

    The best E-Liquid of choice

V2 or Vapour 2 in EU is the #1 selling e cigarette brand in the USA, so they have certainly got the e-liquid side of things sorted. More loyal customers means more demand for proper tobacco flavours and full ingredient transparency. An e liquid company you can trust!

Firstly smoke or vapour production, this was excellent accompanied by a really good throat hit. The Nicotine level is 18 mg and they are displayed in % on the bottles. For instance this is sold at 0.6 to 1.8 mg strength. There is also 0 mg nicotine variants in all flavours, when transitioning to electronic cigarettes you should work towards vaping the 0 % version over time. That being said the throat hit of these was first-rate, really made me feel like I was smoking, though there is only a tiny bit more nicotine than the other brands. Really happy with that.

    Vapour2 e-Liquid ingredients

Information on liquid this time round is astounding, absolute transparency with every e -liquid sold having its own batch number and full on-line lab test report. The FAQ section has tons of info, including a comparison between their e liquid flavours and traditional Cigarettes, perfect if your trying to quit and your brand is listed:

Guide on which V2 e-liquid flavours is the best match to your previous smoking brand

    • V2 Red has a similar flavour profile to the following traditional tobacco brands:
    • V2 Congress has a similar flavour profile to the following traditional tobacco brands: Parliament®1, Silk Cut, Marlboro®1 Lights, Viceroy®3, Benson & Hedges®1, Merit®1, Kent®3, and L&M®1,
    • V2 Sahara has a similar flavour profile to the following traditional tobacco brands: Camel®2, Kent®3, American Spirit®4, Merit®1, and many European cigarette varieties.
    • V2 Menthol has a similar flavour profile to the following traditional tobacco brands: Kool®2, Salem®2, Newport®5, Marlboro®1 Menthol, and Basic®1 Menthol.

Obviously e liquid won’t taste exactly the same as tobacco, there is a slight variation. But the match is very very good and after a couple of days vaping, smoking will actually taste harsh. There are many popular cigarette brands listed here alongside the corresponding e liquid flavour which should really help you when you quit smoking.

In addition to that there is a full breakdown of all ingredients used, and batch reports for every batch of e liquid produced for you. View an example here, if you want more info check out the FAQ. I can find no other e-liquid supplier who goes this far to evidence the quality of their e-liquid products.

I think the biggest difference between V2 and the other brands is their target audience is the serious vaper or the ex-smokers who demands the highest quality vaping experience. Gourmet e-liquids.

    Pros:

    • Best vapour production of all the brands
    • Best Flavour and throat hit
    • Full and transparent information about their liquids available to consumers.

    Cons:

    • Slightly limited flavour selection if you wanted to try extreme or the more obscure flavours – possibly due to how meticulous they are with ingredients?
    • Security Bottles harder to open

#2. VSAVI e-Liquid review. 100% VG vape juice

    Best VG E-Juice

I want to know what is going into my body, I want the purest liquid, with pure ingredients, pharmaceutical grade, nothing less. Is that too much to ask for something I’m inhaling?

Update: VSAVI e liquid re-branded from EcoVape

    Vsavi vape juice purity

Vsavi appear to agree with this, they only use pharmaceutical grade e-Liquid, the purest ingredients, and I like this. They focus on producing the best tobacco e-liquids for the purist. The new ECOvape VSAVI e-Liquid range also has a good range of flavours for the SHISHA Pen user and regular Vapers.

    Vsavi also boast ORGANIC ingredients.

The smoke production is great, the flavour I tried is a bit sweet for me but still a really nice smoke. For those who have a reaction to PG e-liquid, VSAVI are clean 100% VG e-liquids and the number one UK VG brand.

VSAVI is without any doubt the best VG e-liquid in the UK. View Here

    Pros:

    • Big vapour production

    KiK e-Liquid review

According to their website Kik e Cigs prides themselves on “quality, service & satisfaction”. We got hold of some Kik liquid and we tested with the basic ecig set-up as laid out above – standard CE4 Atomizer and standard battery of high quality.

We tested their top range “Gold Tobacco 16 mg” from Kik, filled our tank and got vaping.

First impressions were okay, smoke production was fairly typical, an improvement over the cheap ones you get at the supermarket, but definitely not in the same league as the other two e liquids.

The KIK flavour was really good, really smoke like taste with a hint of something else. Couldn’t put my finger on what it was.

    KiK vape juice ingredients

Looking further into the information regarding the liquids from Kik I found the following information:

Four ingredients. There’s more ingredients than that in a loaf of bread“. And they list 4 ingredients, however one of them is “flavourings”! Since they have over 20 flavours the term “flavourings” means that there are a number of ingredients withing the “flavourings” and these are not listed.

That is pretty much all the information I could find, this really worries me. I want to know what I am inhaling. Even more of a puzzle is that they do the”Gold” version of e-liquid which is supposedly better in every way. “This stuff is the gold standard of e-liquid.” So what makes their Cloud juice and the Kik Standard e liquids inferior to their Gold vape juice then?

Again this raises more questions than it answers, what does the regular KIK e liquid contain, and is that not mixed by master chemists? Just regular chemists for the regular liquid then…

I like transparency in a company, I don’t see this with KiK – I think they are targeting the “cool” market and want to come across stylish, is sufficient attention given to the quality of all the Kik e liquids? Perhaps this image of Helen Flanagan says it all:

    Pros:

    • Prices are reasonably very low
    • A massive array of KIK liquids & Flavours
    • Price vary from £2.49 – £11.00

    Cons:

    • The information on KIK liquid is far too limited
    • No idea what testing is done on the liquid
    • No idea what is even in the liquid with any certainty
    • Lower quality than competition?
