With this device, in particular, the Smok Nord C can certainly help people quit. With a variable wattage of 5-50W, it does have adjustable power that can mimic the sensation of smoking in terms of cloud production. Stealthy, discreet and minimal to not attract large crowds (if that’s what you want). Should you prefer a mouth-to-lung vape, the 0.6 coil at the recommended output between 12-25W is perfect with this dual mesh coil.
But the star of the show has to be the 0.16 Sub-Ohm coil. Whether this high amount of cloud production is right for you depends on how much you smoked in the past. This output indicates you prefer a high wattage (best recommended at 40W) paired with a high VG e-liquid. It will be low nicotine (0mg, 3mg or 6mg max) vape juice, so it depends on how high you want the nicotine level to be when selecting the coil.

How Does the Nord C Perform?
As we’ve come to expect from Smok over the years, they know how to make a cloud-chasing device that boasts excellent flavour throughout the coil life. However, we’ve also seen many Smok devices, whether with the compact Nord series or the larger box mods that the tanks or pods can leak from time to time.
The flavour is fantastic from the Nord C and whether you pick the MTL or DTL coil, the battery life at 1800mAh is a high-quality amount, so you shouldn’t need to charge the device during the day even if you chain vape a low resistance coil.
We love that the pod has a wide comfortable feel, so it’s ideal for DTL vaping or even restrictive direct lung (RDL). However, because there is an MTL coil, it would’ve been handy if there was an alternative pod with a slimmer mouthpiece to get a tighter draw.
For direct lung vaping, thanks to the stepless airflow, the draw and airflow are awesome. It offers a smooth draw when vaping with the lower Ohm coil, and works excellently with a low-nicotine e-liquid.
How to Use the Nord C Pod Kit: Quick Setup Guide
- Five clicks of the fire button to turn the device on or off (no auto-draw option!)
- Click the up button to change the wattage.
- The display highlights the puff counter, wattage, Ohms and battery percentage indicator.
- To change the airflow, flick the stepless airflow switch on the back.
- Press the down button and fire button together to clear the puff counter.
- Hold the up and down buttons together to lock the selected wattage. Press again to unlock the Nord C.
Appearance and Best Layout Design Features
The Nord C stands out like all the devices in the Nord series because of the handheld nature, lightweight feel and yet impressively long-lasting battery.
What we love about the Nord C is that any spills are kept to a minimum. This is because of the snap-back pod to fill your e-liquid with a top fill method. It’s the most efficient fast way to vape on the go and highlights the ultra-convenience of this device.
The screen flatters to deceive despite being OLED. But the colour schemes are stylish and it has that honeycomb pattern that the Nord series is known for. Colours include a professional and discreet transparent Black, as well as pink purple, pink, transparent red and transparent blue.
What E-Liquid is it Best Paired With?
Take your pick! Because the Nord C kit comes with two coils for MTL and DTL vaping, you have a plethora of e-liquids to pick from. Overall, this is a fantastic device from the Nord series that we would recommend for lots of different vaper styles and stages of their nicotine cessation journey. Considering the battery size, two different coils with the kit and stylish design, there are many bonus points to having a device like the Nord C from Smok in your collection.
Granted there are a couple of minor details we flagged but this is perfect for those who want to vape direct to lung but do not need to carry around a large box mod. It can vape with both styles but is definitely a kit suited more for Sub-Ohm coils and cloud chasing.
